Have you tried the links section here?

Or have you tried to find submission guidelines over at DC, Marvel, Image. Dark Horse, and Devil's Due?

Or have you looked at DC's Zuda site where you can compete against others to win a contract with them?

What are your credentials?
Try Comic Art Commissions if you're semi-professional or better.

Hope that helps!

Here are a few boards where people often post jobs for artists:

http://www.penciljack.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=87
http://www.digitalwebbing.com/forums/fo ... .php?f=101

Also, here's where you can find those submission guidelines that Zenos recommended as well as a few more:

Are you looking for someplace to upload an online portfolio, or an online comic, or are you looking for a hosting service for your own website?

If you're looking for a place to upload art to an online portfolio, you might try www.Deviantart.com or www.Comicspace.com.

If you want a place to host an online comic, you can thry either of the places above, or DrunkDuck.com, or SmackJeeves.com.

If you're looking for a place to host a website of your own, there are many options. I have personally used Register.com and Bluehost.com before and was pretty pleased with both services.

I haven't had any problem with any of the above sites getting pages or images to load (although DeviantArt is a tad slow in my experience) but I have only cursory experience with some of the sites I've listed.

DA is no problem for me.
Not slow for me either. If you're a paid member, the ads go away too and it loads even faster.

As for what J & S Harrington wrote - if you have your own web site you can do anything you want. Online Portfolio, online comic, etc...

Yes, getting your own website would mean you could do all those things, the only downside being that it costs money, whereas the other sites are free.

In the long term, if you're interested in being a professional artist, you'll want to get your own website, possibly using some of the free sites to help promote it.

If you're not so much interesting in making a living at it and are more just looking to show your work to other members of the community, the free sites like DA and the others should suit you just fine.

oh i see. premium mebership. makes sense.

i'm not pro [yet haha] but i draw and i enjoy drawing comics since i was 10.

i am actually working on a webcomic [for kids].

i have 2 projects, 1st the webcomic, the 2nd needs a lot of time to complete [its for the much older kids haha].

i was thinking of getting a job [paid or not] first for the experience on how things work in the business/industry. so to get that, i need to get my work out there.

High high hopes.

ey, you guys could be the CAC OA [and i'll be john stewart haha  ]

THANK YOU :!:

Um... you're doing it the wrong way around.
FIRST get your experience (as you say - get your work seen), THEN you get the job.

? call me crazy

Oh - and feel free to upload images to Photobucket or any free image site.
You should feel free to *share your work* either by linking to or embedding your images in these posts.
:)

Also - I run this site here and host it myself. I also host other domains and offer hosting as a service.
If you're ever interested in no-frills hosting from me, check out my rates at:
