As cool as it looked I was put off by lukewarm reviews and didn't see it.
I will definitely rent it when it comes out on DVD.

Apparently it was a disaster at the boxoffice. According to box office mojo.com it had a production budget of $47 million and to date it has grossed $10 million(which generally means a net of around $5 million).

I didn't see it and I haven't read any reviews, so I'm not sure what exactly went wrong.

Maybe the character is a little too obscure?( To be honest, I'm not sure how many comic book fans are that familiar with Jonah Hex, let alone the average Joe.)

Or maybe it was just a plain old bad movie adaption.

Did anybody see it?

I haven't spoken to anyone who went to actually see it. Everyone has said the same thing, "What the heck is this movie supposed to be about anyway?" It sure doesn't look like the Jonah Hex in the comics and the ads all focused around Meagan Fox. I can't even see myself rent this one.

Cheers,
Jeff

From what I can tell, the movie doesn't stay particularly true to the character(in the movie Hex can see/speak with the dead or something like that...I didn't read the Wikapedia overview too carefully).

Which begs the question: What's the point of making a movie about such an obscure character in the first place if you're not going to stay true to said character?

Somebody *rich* just loved this character I bet.
Who produced this movie? Talk to that guy.
I wish I was rich enough to make my own Jonah Hex movie! You can bet I wouldn't cast Megan Fox.

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only person on Earth who thought that Megan Fox is seriously overrated. Aside from the Transformers movies, everything else she's been in has hemmoraged money.

I wonder if she's regretting those comments she made about Michael Bay that got her booted off of Transformers 3 yet?

I expect that she will be surface on TV like Pamela Anderson did a few years ago on a "Baywatch" type show after her movie career tanks. The girl can't act her way out of paper bag. The next Transformers movie won't miss a beat without her and I'm sure that will really piss her off.

I dunno.
Somehow, quoting Einstein in relation to Megan Fox and her career choices seems a bit like overkill...

Thanks for posting that video. I just watched it and thought it was hilarious, not to mention a very accurate take on both franchises(not that I think Jonah Hex qualifies as anything resembling a franchise).

You're welcome, all his videos are really good... His insight I find is very spot on...
