Previously in “How I Would Have Done It”, we discussed DC Comics’ New 52 and how Superman could have been revised in a different way. It’s only natural to follow with Superman’s grim ally Batman, one of the most popular and recognizable heroes on Earth. The Caped Crusader of Gotham City, Batman was left relatively untouched by the new 52 changes save for Bruce Wayne’s great-grandfather being involved with a secret organization known as the Court of Owls and the Joker given a Leatherface-like remodel. Lets take a look at Batman and how I would’ve done it.

Fresh from the Night of Owls saga we see Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl fighting a gang of car thieves. As she is fighting them, she is questioning herself and the actions she takes in stopping crime. She finds herself doubting the use of excessive violence. All of a sudden she hears the perp that got away scream a very terrifying scream. She comes across the thief stuck in a bear trap. But that is not the only problem. The two of them are not alone. From behind enters three characters that claim to be security for an event going on in the building. They convince Batgirl to leave the thief with them and they will turn him over the police. She agrees and flees the scene before the police arrive.

As Young Justice entered its second season, Invasion, five years have passed since the first’s finale and members have moved on as new heroes have risen to make up the next generation of the Team. Some of these members were speculated to be joining in the earlier article Young Justice: We Want You! With Wonder Girl and Blue Beetle already discussed in detail in that piece (with the caveat the Wonder Girl chosen was Cassie Sandsmark), we’ll focus on the heroes we didn’t see coming.
